PARISH ALMSGIVING

One of the disciplines of Lent is to share alms - to support the needy. With a view to increasing support for our parish, we offer the following information about St. Luke’s. In 2005, 799 people gave contributions to the parish that could be counted. That is 799 out of a total of 2,168 registered parishioners. Of those 799, 107 gave under $100($2 a week). The rest or 692 gave from $100 to $6,000 for the year. These were the main supporters of our parish. The rest certainly gave something, but figures indicate that it was significantly lower compared to those who used the envelopes or credit cards to support the parish. As you look at your almsgiving, ask yourself it you are among those who can be counted upon to support our parish. We need many, many more than the 692 people who kept us going last year. Maybe our parish should be your almsgiving for this Lent.

Online Electronic Payment

We may eventually have our own online system. Currently, we are using a 3rd party service. You can go visit them directly at ParishPay to setup deductions. (We may do that here directly in the future).


 

 


Welcoming Committee

Established specifically to make new parishioners feel welcome at our church. Sometimes it's hard to join in the activities and ministries of a new parish without having a personal contact to facilitate this process. The Committee also plans a Welcome Reception for new parishioners 2-3 times a year. Click here for more details.
